The shop was built in 1567, and is one of the few remaining examples of Tudor architecture in London. Some bumping and rubbing of extremities; foxing of endpapers; some stains and bubbling of covers; pages crisp, clean and bright. Overall in nice condition for its age. Covers are limp green leatherette, with initials "CD" and floral design blind-stamped on front cover; gilt titling on spine. Top edge of pages gilt. Ribbon markers intact in volumes I & III.
