Bronte, Charlotte, Emily, & Anne; Mrs. Gaskell Life and Works of Charlotte Bronte and Her Sisters: An Illustrated Edition in Seven Volumes London Smith, Elder & Co. 1895 Three-Quarter Leather Fine; a little shelfwear; a few pages have a light stain on the upper fore edge; bookplate on second front endpaper of each volume. Each volume is dated on title page, with dates ranging from 1889 to 1895. Finely bound in 3/4 leather; black leather on covers with double blind fillets bordering the marbled papers that cover the remainder of the board. The spine divided into six panels by raised bands; panels 2 and 4 have gilt lettering on red leather inlays; remaining panels have gilt borders and central floral designs. Endpapers of marbled paper matching the covers; all page edges are marbled in matching design & colors. A beautiful set. Price: 1500.00 USD
